About If I Could Tell You...
Many people have thoughts about what instructions they would like their loved ones to have in case they suddenly died, but few people actually do anything about it. Whether it's the cost of hiring a lawyer, or the hassle of writing a will or even an unwillingness to think on something as sad as their own passing, too many people die without ever making a plan. And because they refused to put themselves through the minor trouble of laying out a plan, their loved ones are usually left to face a much bigger hassle — or even financial peril.
If I Could Tell You allows any person of any age, gender or station in life to craft a detailed message intended to be read only after he or she dies.
Use of our service is free or paid, depending on which option you choose. All members can set up a private profile for free. And with a free subscription you can send loved ones a user name and password that gives them immediate access to your profile. But with a paid subscription, we will withhold that user name and password until you die, confirm your death with a death certificate and confirmation by two people of your choosing, and only then grant access to your profile.

If I Could Tell You is an sole proprietorship based in Los Angeles, California. It is a bootstrapped operation with no outside investment to date.

You don't want to talk about it. We get it. It's why we built this site.
If you've put off making a will because you're afraid to think about death or just don't like to think about it, you're certainly not alone. In fact, several famous people, including Michael Jackson and Pablo Picasso died without ever making a will — but the results can be devastating for those you leave behind. When guitar legend Jimmy Hendrix died without a will, the battle over his estate raged on for three decades. Quite often, the barrier isn't an emotional one, but simply a matter of taking the time to do it. more
